Qvalitas Medical Centre offers the possibility of undergoing different examinations and analysis quickly at our medical centre. We offer diagnostics service to private patients as well as patients with referral from a family physician. We offer X-ray, ultrasound and functional diagnostics examinations (e.g. cardiac stress test, Holter monitoring tests, etc) and lab analyses. For X-ray examination You need referral from a doctor (except in the case of a medical certificate)

AUDIOMETRY

Audiometry is meant for determining hearing acuity and diagnosing hearing loss. Audiometry measures hearing character and parameters with the purpose to diagnose and examine diseases and damages hearing organs and determine the type and depth of possible hearing disorders.

Indications:

  • • Gradually increasing hearing loss
  • • Sudden loss of hearing
  • • Tinnitus, i.e. ear whistling
  • • Vertigo, i.e. dizziness
  • • Commencing work or working in noisy environments
CARDIAC STRESS TEST

Cardiac stress test is a cardiovascular test that enables to evaluate your heart's ability to respond to external stress and helps to detect health problems that may go unnoticed with regular ECG test executed in tranquil state. Cardiac stress test helps to diagnose possible cardiologic diseases and is used for evaluation of treatment results.

SPIROMETRY

Spirometry is a test used for measuring the lung function and passage of air through the respiratory tract in case of forced breathing (with maximum depth and speed). The test enables to determine reduce in pulmonary function due to different pulmonary diseases. Spirometry is an important examination for diagnosing and treatment monitoring conditions like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

HOLTER MONITORING

ECG HOLTER MONITORING

ECG Holter monitoring means registering heartbeat and heart activity as an electrocardiogram (ECG) for 24 hours.

Indications for Holter monitoring are::

  • • Subjectively sensed irregular heartbeat;
  • • Identification of the nature and frequency of arrhythmias registered with ECG;
  • • Arrhythmias in case of history of myocardial infarction;
  • • Ascertainment of arrhythmia treatment efficiency;
  • • Cataplexy of indistinct origin;
  • • Repeated loss of consciousness.

HOLTER MONITORING OF BLOOD PRESSURE

During blood pressure monitoring, the recorder takes your blood pressure during the period of 24 hours. Indications for Holter blood pressure monitoring are:

  • • Elevated blood pressure values;
  • • Ascertainment of high blood pressure treatment efficiency.
X-RAY EXAMINATION

X-ray examinationis the most frequent procedure done in the radiology department. Modern radiology equipment enables procedures with optimum radiation dose and patients are subjected to radiation only for as short period of time as possible.For X-ray examination You need referral from a doctor (except in the case of a medical certificate)

Contraindications

Developing organisms are the most radiation-sensitive. This is why X-ray procedure should not be performed during pregnancy without a specific medical indication. Please be sure to notify your physician and the radiology nurse executing the X-ray examination about your pregnancy.

ULTRASONOGRAPHY

Ultrasound is most frequently used for studying intestines, blood vessels, thyroid gland and soft tissues. Ultrasound enables to view and measure the shape, size and structure of intestines and also determine the direction and speed of blood flow in blood vessels (e.g. blood vessels in neck and feet).

BLOOD TESTS

Qvalitas Medical Centre offers several common laboratory analyses on spot and quickly enabling to get results within minutes. More specific analyses are forwarded to Synlab laboratory.

We also offer more complex blood panel analysis for determining the reasons of several problems.

COLPOSCOPY

Colposcopy is a specific method used to discover cervical cancer and pre-cancer conditions. The diagnostics is carried out with a microscope-like enlarging apparatus – a colposcope. In case changes are spotted, a piece of cervical tissue is removed during the procedure for further diagnostics.

Indications:

  • • changes in PAP test;
  • • visible changes on the cervix;
  • • post-coital bleeding

    Contraindications:

    • • menstruation;
    • • strong cervical or vaginal infection (needs prior treatment)
